› Business Analytics & Operations
› Finance, Accounting, Controlling & Taxation
› Strategy, Marketing & Management

Or you become a professional for global issues and pursue one of our international Majors:

› German-French Management

Business Analytics & Operations

As a consequence of the digital transformation, intelligent business models require that companies analyze the data available to them in the best possible way and use the data for optimal organization of their processes. Think about online service platforms for passenger transport, car sharing concepts or the combination of mail order and stationary retailing. Production is being made fit for the future under the keyword Industry 4.0. With Health 4.0, a comparable revolution in the health care system is imminent. In the Business Analytics & Operations cluster, you will learn how to generate and statistically evaluate relevant data, optimize decisions by using quantitative methods, design sustainable processes, and thus create competitive advantages in different industries.

Finance, Accounting, Controlling & Taxation

Knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Controlling and Taxation (FACT) are the basis of virtually all business management-oriented professions, because these are the tools used to represent in numbers, evaluate, and ultimately control all companies. At the same time, they are indispensable for an understanding of securities and capital markets. This knowledge therefore belongs to the basis of any degree in business and economics. The courses of the FACT cluster qualify you for a business such as banks and insurances, management and tax consultants. On the other hand, you acquire the necessary knowledge required for activities in the areas of Finance, Management Accounting, Accounting and Taxation. You will find these areas in practically every company.

Strategy, Marketing & Management

Digitalization, globalization, and the need for more sustainability lead to extensive changes in the economy and society. In this environment, the Strategy, Marketing & Management cluster focuses on people and their decisions. In this cluster you will learn theories and methods from management and ethics, innovation and entrepreneurship, human resources and marketing, in order to understand these change processes and the underlying behavior of organizations and consumers. You apply the knowledge you have learned in seminars and projects and develop sustainable design proposals for digital and international markets. You can set focal areas and thus stand out for your future employer.

International Business & Economics

For students interested in working internationally, the International Business & Economics major offers them the opportunity to align their business management degree with international content. The students are simultaneously taught professional, language, and intercultural skills. The compulsory stay abroad, as well as the fact that the language of instruction is English, is what differentiates this field of study from other specializations.

German-French Management

For students who are interested in our economically and culturally very important neighbor France, the faculty, in cooperation with the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the Université de Rennes 1, offers a degree course in German-French Management. The students of the study program get to know France and its economy in situ and can also improve their language skills. With the Double Degree option, this field of study offers a further advantage.
