Under certain circumstances a lottery admission process may take place in the context of the allocation of study places. You can find out more information about the lottery admission process below.

When does a lottery admission process take place?

If the main and supplementary allocation processes for restricted admission degree programmes have already been completed and there are still study places available, a lottery-based admission process is carried out. For degree programmes that are allocated through hochschulstart.de, this takes place during the coordination and coordinated supplementary phases. The lottery admission process therefore takes place at a relatively late stage. If the lottery admission process takes place, it may occur after the beginning of the start of semester.

How can I take part in the lottery admission process?

If you are interested in a study place, please submit an application for the lottery admission process until October 13 in VIBS.

There are still available study places in the following restricted-admission degree programmes:

• Erziehungswissenschaft (Educational Science), B.A.
• Ingenieurwissenschaften (Engineering Science), B.Sc.
• Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen (Industrial Engineering), B.Sc.

Study places for these degree programmes will be allocated in a lottery admission process.

A lottery admission process for Human Medicine could take place in October at the earliest. However, such a procedure has never been necessary so far, as all study places have always been allocated through the regular admission process. Can I participate in more than one lottery admission process?

It is possible to participate in the lottery admission process for more than one desired degree programme. Please submit an application for the lottery admission process for each degree programme you wish to apply for. For Human Medicine please send an e-mail including the name of the programme in the subject line to the following e-mail address: losantrag@zv.uni-augsburg.de. Do not submit lottery applications for degree programmes that the University of Augsburg does not offer (e.g., Dentistry, Psychology, etc.).
