Study Content
Ibero-Romance Studies provides practical linguistic, literary and linguistic competences in the field of Spanish-speaking countries and introduces students to the working methods and subjects of linguistics, literature and cultural studies. Further central components of the degree programme are, in addition to the broad philological basic knowledge, specialised language skills in the areas of listening comprehension, oral and written expression, translation and autonomous language learning. Last but not least, key competences in the area of research and information management can be acquired.

The introductory modules in language practice for students of Hispanic subjects require language skills in Spanish on the level B2 (CEFR). All students are therefore strongly advised to participate in the qualification test for French (Hispanic subjects).
