As a result of the digital transformation, intelligent business models require companies to analyze the data available to them in the best possible way and to use the data to organize their processes optimally. Think about online service platforms for passenger transport, car sharing concepts, or the combination of mail order and stationary retailing. Production is being made fit for the future under the keyword Industry 4.0. With Health 4.0, a comparable revolution in the health care system is imminent.

In the Business Analytics & Operations cluster, you will learn how to generate and statistically evaluate relevant data, optimize decisions by using quantitative methods, design sustainable processes, and thus create competitive advantages in various industries.

Cases are a special service of the Business Analytics & Operations cluster. In contrast to ordinary lectures, cases are very application-oriented and offer students the opportunity to extend and expand the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in lectures. Cases can be thought of as a combination of theory and independent modeling using special computer programs. The aim is to teach students about software, which is often used in seminars, Bachelor and Master theses.
