Curriculum Vitae

Adeline Frenzel-Piasentin (née Frenzel) studied Geography and Regional Planning as well as Management and Tourism at the Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt, the University of Nottingham, Great Britain and the University of Tartu, Estonia. She worked as a student assistant at the Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt for several chairs and for the International Office. In 2014, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Work and Technology in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, in a project for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia on preventive structural change. In her master thesis, she continued this topic with focus on governance, structural policy and energy transition using the example of the European lignite mining regions.

In 2013, she received a Schuman Scholarship for the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, and completed a traineeship in the press service covering the Committees on Regional Development (REGI) and on Transport and Tourism (TRAN) as well as the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly. In 2014, she completed an internship in Public Relations and event managementat the German Center for Venetian Studies in Venice, Italy. Previously, she gained experience in social media, community management and online marketing at the start-up Tourismuszukunft as an intern and working student.

After completing her studies, Adeline Frenzel-Piasentin worked for CACEIS Bank Deutschland GmbH (today CACEIS Bank S.A., Germany Branch) in Business Development for Banks & Broker/Dealer and Relationship Management. Afterwards, she worked as Sales & Marketing Analyst at gdp Global Drinks Partnership GmbH in the field of international premium beverages. Most recently, she was responsible for social planning and educational monitoring in the district of Ebersberg, Bavaria.

Since October 2018, Adeline Frenzel-Piasentin is a research assistant at the Chair of Information Systems and Management at the University of Augsburg. She serves as representative for the Committee for Information Processing at the University of Augsburg since October 2021.

Her research interests include digitalization of individuals, crowd work and gig economy, future of work, the role of privacy in today's society, and digital sustainability.
