Abstract

The ACROSS project has the purpose to design a Multi-Processor System-on-a-Chip (MPSoC), satisfying the requirements of the automotive, aerospace and industrial domain.
Therefore a first FPGA concept should be realized, containing core and optional services, facilitating a component-based development of embedded systems. Using these services, a library of middleware services is providing a model-based design methodology.
Another aspect is a save data communication to adopt safety critical applications, e.g. in medical, power generation and space domains.
The benefits of such an architecture will be shown in demonstrators from the targeted application domains.
The challenge for the University of Augsburg is to connect the CarCore-processor to the real time capable NoC (Network-on-Chip), which is developed by TTTech and Vienna University of Technology.
