Semester fee amount

All students have to pay a fee to the amount of €150.63 each semester (current as of the summer semester 2024). This fee includes:

the Studierendenwerk fee: €72.00 (summer semester 2024)

the semester transport ticket fee: €78.63 (summer semester 2024)

For students with a disability or who are enrolled at more than one higher education institution in Bavaria, there are some exceptions regarding the payment of semester fees.

For guest students the fee amount depends on the number of courses taken.

Reimbursement of semester fees

The reimbursement of already paid fees (Studierendenwerk fee, semester ticket) can be requested at the Registrar’s Office (Studierendenkanzlei). Please provide a receipt of the respective fees paid and, if necessary, an official university receipt. The reimbursement of fees is only possible in certain cases if the Campus Card Augsburg is returned at the latest two weeks after a corresponding letter from the Registrar’s Office.

Please note that fees can only be reimbursed if the request for reimbursement is submitted in a timely manner and then approved.
