Call for applications: The 2025-2026 Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research at Israeli Universities in STEM, Humanities, and Social Sciences (Application deadline: November 18, 2024)

The Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship supports the best and brightest minds in their postdoctoral research in Israel, connecting them with world-class academics and leading researchers.

Who can apply?

The fellowship is open to candidates in any academic discipline who have received their PhD degree no earlier than November 1, 2021, in all countries except Israel. PhD candidates may apply if they complete their dissertation defence successfully no later than June 1, 2025. All nationalities, with the exception of Israel, are eligible to apply. Nonetheless, those who acquired Israeli citizenship or residency after September 1, 2024, are eligible. Candidates who commenced a postdoctoral or an academic position in Israel prior to September 1, 2024, may not apply.

Please note: At the time of application, candidates are required to have an academic sponsor, who is a faculty member at an eligible Israeli academic institution.

The fellowship is offered for two years and starts in October 2025. Renewal for a third year will be considered favourably based on a competitive evaluation process. Application deadline is November 18, 2024.

The fellowship selects 24 postdoctoral researchers each year, who are provided with a monthly stipend of 14,000 ILS, along with access to a growing alumni network and opportunities for interdisciplinary and cross-cultural exchange, leadership training, community engagement, professional mentorship, and personalized support.
