Es ist eine moderne Errungenschaft, die der Landwirtschaft hilft, Erträge zu steigern und Wasser zu sparen: Plastikfolien auf den Feldern. Wie weit verbreitet der Einsatz der sogenannten „Plastikkultur“ in Deutschland ist, erfasst Alessandro Fabrizi, Arbeitsgruppe für Wasser- und Bodenressourcenforschung an der Universität Augsburg, mit weiteren Forschenden anhand von Satellitendaten.
