The AUGMENT curriculum is designed to seamlessly integrate with doctoral tracks at the University of Augsburg, including the Dr. rer. nat. and Dr. rer. biol. hum. degrees.

The research project is supported by a specialized curriculum that combines core and elective modules, translational courses, professional skills development, and comprehensive career support and networking opportunities to equip trainees for successful careers in biomedical health research.

Rather than selecting from a predefined set of elective courses, students enrolled in the AUGMENT program are required to take specialized courses in environmental health sciences. These courses permit trainees to develop a specialization in the fundamental mechanisms, clinical impacts, and environmental connections of disease burden.
