Anglisten Theater
In late June/early July the AnglistenTheater of the University is planning to produce a modern adaptation (in English) of Euripides' play The Trojan Women by American playwright Ellen McLaughlin. We are still looking for females to join the chorus of Trojan women. Anyone interested, please get in touch with us by sending an email to
anglistentheater@philhist.uni-augsburg.de
No previous acting experience needed, just enthusiasm and decent English.
If you would like to know more about Euripides' play, there is a long article on Wikipedia;
playwright Ellen McLaughlin's homepage tells you everything you want to know about her;
an electronic version of her text is available on amazon's kindle.
