Digitalization for sustainability transformations: Critical perspectives, lessons learned, and future prospects

Conference
Conference

Conference Fee

Attendance is limited to those whose papers are accepted for presentation. There is a conference fee of 75 Euros which includes coffees/drinks on three days and two lunches. The planned joint conference dinner is not included in the fees and needs to be paid for separately.

Accomodation

The conference is held at the time of the ‘Oktoberfest’ in nearby Munich. Because of the Oktoberfest, hotel prices are up and hotel rooms get booked up early (in Munich hotel prices triple during that time). We have reserved 75 hotel rooms in Augsburg in the price range of 90 Euros to 150 Euros, which will be available until end of July 2023. These rooms need to be booked and paid for by the participants. You are also free to make your own room booking, but please note that due to Oktoberfest in nearby Munich, availability will be limited and prices tend to double.

Travel

Participants need to make their own travel arrangements. Only keynote speakers are eligible for a reimbursement of their travel costs.

Conferene Venue

The conference will be held in the Centre for Climate Resilience (building I.1), Universitaetsstrasse 12, 86159 Augsburg, on the main Campus of the University of Augsburg in the city of Augsburg (near Munich). The tram stop is called "Universitaet" on tram line 3. We encourage sustainable modes of transport and would like to ask all of you from Europe to consider coming by train or bus (check out interrail passes which tend to be cheaper). For those from further away, the nearest airports are Munich (90 minutes by train) and Memmingen (70 minutes by train), but you can also consider Frankfurt (3-3.6 hours).
