This talk explores how intersectional thinking enriches environmental justice approaches by examining the interplay of gender, inequality, and disaster risk.

Considering the centrality of gender as a social category, as well as the mutual constitution and reinforcement of inequalities and (disaster) risks as proposed by the intersectional risk theory, the talk explores and discusses intersectional thinking in environmental justice approaches.
