Washington
| Auf Einladung von Professor Jeffrey Manns, der bereits im Rahmen des Summer Program an der Universität Augsburg unterrichtete, besuchte Professor Möllers die George Washington University in Washington D.C. Hier bot sich ihm die Möglichkeit, an den Oral Arguments des Supreme Court teilzunehmen und mit einem Richter des US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, Greg Maggs, zu Mittag zu essen. Zudem hielt Professor Möllers einen Vortrag zum Thema "Market abuse by short sell attacks and illegal research report". Am darauffolgenden Tag fand ein Treffen mit den derzeit anwesenden Augsburger Austauschstudenten statt. Am letzten Tag traf er dann den Dekan der Universität, Blake Morant, zum Mittagessen, welcher bereits im Juli 2018 einen Vortrag an der Universität Augsburg zu den Ausschreitungen in Charlottesville gehalten hatte. | Professor Möllers visited George Washington University in Washington D.C. by invitation of Professor Jeffrey Manns who had visited Augsburg University as part of the Summer Program. In Washington he had the opportunity to attend the Oral Arguments of the US Supreme Court and had lunch with Judge Gregg Maggs, a Judge at the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. In addition, he gave a lecture on the topic "Market abuse by short sell attacks and illegal research report“. On the following day he met up with the current exchange students of Augsburg University. On the last day of his stay in Washington Professor Möllers had lunch with Dean Blake Morant who had visited Augsburg University in July 2018 and had delivered a speech on the Charlottesville incident. |

| Auf Einladung von Professor Peter Wendel, einem der Gastprofessoren der Universität Augsburg, besuchte Professor Möllers die Pepperdine University in Los Angeles. Hier traf er sich mit dem Dekan, Paul Caron, zum gemeinsamen Mittagessen und hielt einen Vortrag mit dem Thema "The Volkswagen emission scandal – German, European and US-American implications". Auch hier bot sich ihm die Möglichkeit, die Augsburger Austauschstudenten zu treffen. | Professor Möllers then visited Pepperdine University in Los Angeles by invitation of Professor Peter Wendel who is a visiting academic at Augsburg University. There he met for lunch with Dean Paul Caron and gave a talk about "The Volkswagen emission scandal – German, European and US-American implications“. | Die letzte Etappe auf Professor Möllers Forschungsreise in Amerika bildete die University of Washington School of Law in Seattle. Hier hielt er im Rahmen der "Global Mondays Lecture Series" einen Vortrag zu dem Thema "Corporate Law and Capital Markets: the Volkswagen Scandal". Dabei traf er auch den stellvertretenden Dekan der University of Washington School of Law, Scott A. Schumacher. Zudem führten sie eine Diskussion über eine potenzielle Kooperation der beiden Universitäten. | The University of Washington School of Law in Seattle was the final stage of Professor Möllers's research trip. There he gave a lecture on the topic "Corporate Law and Capital Markets: the Volkswagen Scandal“ as part of the "Global Mondays Lecture Series“. Thereby he met Associate Dean Scott A. Schumacher and they discussed a possible future cooperation of the two universities. |
