The examination office for education state examinations is open daily from the 15.06.2026 to 02.10.2026 for in person visits.

From the 05.10.2026, regular opening hours resume on Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.

• Special measures for lateral career move (Quereinstieg) into teaching in secondary schools (Gymnasium)
   

  There is currently a shortage of regularly trained applicants for teaching in secondary schools (Gymnasium) in the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, German, English, Ethics, French, History, Computer Science, Art, Latin, Mathematics, Physics, Politics and Society, and Sport, as well as Economics and Law. Therefore, to ensure enough future supply of teachers, special measures (Quereinstieg) are being implemented concerning acquiring secondary school teaching qualifications in these subjects.
