Bereits im Vorfeld hatte Christian Schwarzenegger mit Kollegen eine Pre-Conference zum Thema: "The Transformation of Public Dissent: From Counter-Public Spheres and Alternative Media to Disinformation Ecologies?" im Rahmen der Communication History Sektion vom 06.-07.10.2022 organisiert und  Lisa Waldenburger und Jeffrey Wimmer einen Vortrag zum Thema "Digital Stress in Media Life - Insights from Doing a Qualitative Long-Term Study" im Rahmen des Workshops "Methodological Challenges of Doing Audience Research in (post) covid times" der Audience and Reception Sektion am 14.10.2022 gehalten.
