Ayush Shukla is a master's student at the Munich Centre for Technology (MCTS) in Society at the Technical University of Munich. His current major research interests involve concerns regarding Responsible Innovation (RI) in healthcare.

Ayush Shukla has completed his interdisciplinary Bachelor's degree in Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Delhi, focusing on Media Studies, Digital Humanities and applied social research. During his undergraduate studies at the Cluster Innovation Centre, he worked on projects related to science communication in the Indian context and digital mapping of weekly markets in Delhi. After graduation, he worked as an Associate in an EdTech startup to design learning programs for school teachers. He is also a freelance research consultant who has experience in conducting feasibility studies & impact assessments of developmental projects.


In 2020, he joined Elite Graduate Program Responsibility in Science Engineering and Technology (RESET) at TU Munich. The RESET program is built upon the discipline of Science and Technology Studies (STS). During his first semester at MCTS, he worked on responsibility in a Digital Welfare State. This project investigated the emergence of transparency in controversy over smartphone applications for contact tracing of Covid-19 cases in India. Currently, his area of interest lies in Responsible Innovation in Healthcare.
